Thoughtless Awareness – Free Meditation Tomorrow 7 PM.
Shri Mataji excerpts from advice given on the 27th of March 1994, 5th of July 1998 and during an international seminar in 1994.
When the Kundalini rises, then our thoughts get elongated and the space increases. That is the place where you become thoughtlessly aware.
You are aware, but you are thoughtless. That is the place where you are in the present and you are peaceful. That is the state where you grow spiritually.
Thoughtless awareness is the first beautiful state you have to achieve. It will give you peace and a witness state to enjoy the drama of life, to enjoy the different varieties of people while you are growing within yourself.
You enjoy whatever is created beautifully. You do not think about it. You do not react. The reaction is that there is joy. What a beauty it is. You do not think who has made it, how much it will cost – nothing. You become thoughtless. And thoughtless awareness is nothing but such a pouring sense of joy – joy which is neither happiness or unhappiness, but singular.
You cannot describe it in words, but you can really feel it inside yourself, that joy of being the Self. When you become thoughtless, then you can see and feel reality.

Effortless Meditation – Tomorrow 7 PM!! R U Ready?
Excerpt by Shri Mataji from advice given in London, on 1st of January, 1980
In the same way vibrations are coming, they are rediated. What you have to do is expose yourself to it. The best way is not to put in any effort.
Do not worry as to where you have a problem. You just don’t have to worry. You just let it go and it will work by itself. So do not have to put in any effort. This is what meditation is.
Meditation means exposing yourself to God’s grace. The grace itself kowns how to cure you. It knows how to mend you, how to settle down itself into your own being, how to keep your spirit kindled. It knows everything, so you do not have to worry as to what you have to do or what name you have to take, what mantras you have to do. In meditation you have to be absolutely effortless, expose yourself fully and you have to be absolutely thoughtless at that time.
If you are not thoughtless, at that time you have to just watch your thoughts, but do not get involved into them. You will find gradually, as when the sun rises, darkness goes away and the sun’s rays go into every part and make the whole place enlightened. In the same way, your being will be completely enlightened. But if you put in an effort at that time or try to stop something within you, it will not happen. Effortlessness is the only way into meditation, but you should not be lethargic about it. You should be alert and watch it.
The other side could be that people just doze off. You have to be alert. If you doze off nothing will work out. There is another side of it. If you are lazy about it, nothing will work out. You have to be alert and open, absolutely aware, completely effortless, absolutly effortless. If you are absolutely effortless, meditation will work the best.
Do not think about your problems at all. Just expose yourself to the vibrations. When the sun shines, all of nature exposes itself to the sun and recieves the blessings of the sun effortlessly. It does not put in any effort. It just recieves the sun. The sun’s rays start acting. In the same way, the all-pervading power starts working.
You are not maneuver it. You are not to do anything about it. Just be effortless, absolutely effortless. It is working out. It will go on working as long as it can and it will do the miracle that it has to do. You do not have to worry about it. It kowns its job, but when you put an effort, you actually create a barrier for it. So no effort is needed. Be absolutely effortless and say, “Let it go, let it go.” That’s all.
